Elijah Young
Elijah writes on the state of the arts and cultural policy, as well as the odd piece of short fiction. He is an MA student of Anglophone Literatures and Culture in the Faculty of Arts at Charles University Prague, holding degrees in Comparative Literature (BA) and Critical Theory (MA) from Goldsmiths, University of London. His theoretical interests include image ontology, politics of truth, spatial phenomenology and theories of the avant-garde in modernist and postmodern film, literature and visual cultures. In the past, he has written on queer space in European film, erasure, deconstruction, surveillance, climate literature after humanism, and has been published for articles on the Pool Group (tba: Journal of Art, Media and Visual Culture), spiritual journey (Film Matters) and Annette Michelson's Soviet montage criticism (Mise-en-scene).
